As we near the end of our trip I can tell we’re all kind of ready to be home. We’re more tired and occasionally each just want to be left alone 😃 Most of the rooms we’ve stayed in are so small that I am surprised we made it through it all without a major fight or incident.
We’ve had a blast and I’d do it again in a heartbeat but I noticed a marked change in all of our attitudes after about day 23. I guess that’s to be expected when you’re going as hard as we have for the last month but I kinda wonder if it doesn’t have something to do with the increased cadence of our travel (1-2 nights per location instead of 3).
In addition to all of that, the attacks in Turkey have put us all on edge about our safety in public places as well as the 3 flights needed to get home.
Update: we made it through 2 flights

When I heard about the attack, I immediately pulled out your itinerary, your last location, and google maps. Too close. I’ve really enjoyed your trip but I’ll be glad to see you guys get home. Be safe.
